I always though the big gaseous entities on Star Trek were probably more realistic than meeting an actual being.
Don't get me wrong, green alien chics are hot, but what are the chances of running into one in the universe?
It's FAR more likely we would be destroyed by a rancid gaseous cloud than be turned into some green amazon warrior's love slave.
